Dave joined Vermont Law and Graduate School as vice president of alumni relations and development in March 2023. He previously served as director of development and community relations at West Central Behavioral Health in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Dave’s earlier work at Dartmouth College and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth as co-director of the Dartmouth College Fund, and as director of development, annual giving, and alumni relations at Tuck provided him with extensive experience in higher education management, fundraising, alumni engagement, and career services. Dave has helped numerous organizations develop and execute successful campaigns, helping to raise visibility and significant revenue streams for charitable organizations throughout his career.
Dave has a background in art, having owned and managed Long River Gallery in White River Junction, Vermont, and as a writer with his Upper Valley VT/NH Musings journal on the Substack platform. He previously practiced law with admissions to the Vermont and Connecticut bars. He also worked as an account marketing representative for IBM, with a focus on the finance and manufacturing sectors.
Dave’s local board and committee involvement has included: the Town of Thetford School Board, Upper Valley Trails Alliance, Thetford Academy, and Junction Arts & Media (JAM).
A VLGS alumnus, Dave received his JD degree in 1992 with a General Practice Program certificate. He also holds an MFA in writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and BA and AS degrees in English and Accounting, respectively, from Quinnipiac University. He is an honorary member of the Dartmouth College Class of 1979 and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth Class of 1976.
