VLS Mental Health Committee Presents “I’m Tired”

Please consider joining the Mental Health Committee for I’m Tired: a conversation about racism, sexism, and self-empowerment with Dr. Sonya Shropshire-Friel this Thursday, February 15th at 12:45pm in the Chase Community Center.

This event will focus on the ways racism and sexism affect our mental health, how to address situations in which we are targets, and how to be cognizant of our own subconscious biases so we can lessen micro-aggressive behaviors. Topics arising from the Diversity Committee Town Hall Meeting may be discussed. Dr. Shropshire-Friel will also speak about the importance of self-esteem, and share ways to improve our self-confidence.
