VLS Guest Speaker: John Cruden on Environmental Advocacy in the New Administration & Careers

​​​​John Cruden, Assistant Attorney General for Environment and Natural Resources under President Obama, will speak on both environmental advocacy under the new administration and career opportunities in the field.

John served President Obama as the nation’s chief environmental law enforcer. He led, for example, the negotiations over the the Volkswagen emission falsifications. He served before that as President of the Environmental Law Institute, and has a long career as a public environmental attorney. He has mentored and hired countless environmental lawyers, including VLS graduates. This is a great opportunity to get great career advice, as well as hear a sophisticated view of the immediate future for environmental advocacy.
