Restorative Yoga with Samara

Restorative Yoga Class Description: This class is appropriate for all students seeking the benefits of a very relaxing, gentle and nourishing practice. The combination of gentle Hatha and deep restorative work improves range of motion and joint mobility while reducing pain and the effects of stress. The focus of this class is to shift from the stressed sympathetic nervous system to the relaxed and healing parasympathetic nervous system and create space and openness in the shoulders and upper body. Students with injuries, arthritis, or other chronic conditions are welcome in these classes. All practitioners will benefit from this practice. No prior yoga experience required. NOTE: Due to bolster and blanket prop restrictions, this class is limited to only 10 students, but it is offered twice weekly. You must sign up on the weekly sheets, which will be put out at the fitness center a week prior to the classes.
