23rd Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner 2022
November 24, 2022 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
All Welcome!
“A Real Thanksgiving” Community Dinner in South Royalton is planned again this year, to be held at Vermont Law and Graduate School.
Organizers are seeking volunteers and donations for the November 24 free dinner. This is the 21st year since it began in 1998 at South Royalton House, under the direction of Marilyn Labadie, who was an employee of the Law School and will be involved this year. In the past we delivered and served turkey dinners to approximately 400 guests.
We serve the surrounding towns of Royalton, South Royalton, Sharon, Strafford, Tunbridge, Chelsea, and Bethel. If you are interested in attending the Thanksgiving Dinner at the Chase Community Center please call or email to let us know you will be there. If you would like to have a dinner delivered please call or email and give us your name, address, telephone number and directions.
Contact: Shirley Jefferson at [email protected] or by calling 802-831-1373. You can also contact Carol Greene (Heartland Lions Club) at 802-291-3750.
FOOD DONATIONS NEEDED
November 16-18: Donations of squash, cranberry sauce, and bread (used for stuffing) will be collected at the Chase Community Center.
November 21-22: Donations of rolls, and apple, pumpkin, and chocolate pies will be collected at the Chase Community Center.
We also appreciate donations of cardboard boxes, these will be used to transport food for delivery.
Monetary donations will be collected by Brooke Knudsen (2nd floor of Debevoise Hall). Please make checks payable to Vermont Law and Graduate School.
