SOUTH ROYALTON, Vermont — Vermont Law and Graduate School will be serving a free Community Thanksgiving Dinner to the elderly, those who are alone, and families in need from the surrounding towns of Chelsea, Tunbridge, Royalton, Sharon, Bethel, South Royalton, and Strafford. The traditional meal will be served on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, 2023, from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. in the Vermont Law and Graduate School’s Chase Community Center.
If you would like to eat in or have a meal delivered, please contact Shirley A. Jefferson by emailing [email protected] or by calling 802-831-1373. Please provide your name, telephone number, and either the address of where you would like the meal delivered or if you will be attending in person. Also, you may contact Carol Greene from the Heartland Lions Club at 802-291-3750.
The event organizers need volunteers on Monday, Nov. 20, to help prepare food, and Thursday, Nov. 23, to help serve and pack meals starting at 8 a.m., drive to deliver meals starting at 10 a.m., and clean up after dinner.
